The next big thing of the silicon industry is the quantum chip
We are upgrading the SOI (Silicon On Insulator) into a QSOI® (Quantum Silicon on Insulator)
Building block after building block, FD-SOI-based silicon qubit demonstrations developed at CEA-Leti are transferred to STMicroelectronic’s 300mm manufacturing lines. Together with STMicroelectronics we ensure process control, yield optimization, and scalability.

Our industrial partner: STMicroelectronics
Our quantum chips are co-designed with STMicroelectronics and manufactured on its 300mm semiconductor platform.
This collaboration provides immediate access to industrial-grade manufacturing, ensuring robustness, reproducibility, and scalability.
Leveraging semiconductor manufacturing at scale
We industrialize quantum computing.
Real-world applications require thousands of reliable logical qubits. Anything less remains limited in scope. By leveraging the semiconductor industry and manufacturing ecosystem, we deliver scalable, cost-efficient, and industrial quantum systems.

1
Wafers
Usual FD-SOI’s wafers are made of silicium that are noisy in terms of spins. Purified wafers based on 28Si allow for a spin-free environment. These are our QSOI ® wafers.

2
Chips

3
1- and 2-qubit gates
1-qubit gates are obtained by applying magnetic fields to an electron’s spin.
2-qubit gates are obtained by lowering the barrier between the qubits.

4
Packaging
The die is packaged and connected to a PCB that is lowered to a temperature of 1 K in a cryostat. The control electronics embedded within the chip enable regular plug&play updates.
