Annick Gingras-Genois, Quobly’s Senior Vice President, Operations & HR, believes in the power of cultivating the perfect work environment to support people to their peak performance.
With a background in civil engineering, building bridges—both literal and figurative—has been part of her career plan from a very early age.
Annick, who originally hails from Canada, comes to Quobly from a two-decade career at French electric utility EDF, where she most recently served as deputy director of technical services within the company’s hydropower division. A testament to her resilience and capacity to reinvent herself, Annick made the quantum leap from corporate to startup when she joined Quobly in 2022—an adventure that is both challenging and exhilarating.
Mentors like her professor Jacques Marchand, and Laurent Perotin, who championed her in her first managerial role, have guided and nurtured Annick’s career trajectory. Today, she is inspired by three influential women—Caroline Imbert, Maud Vinet, and Pascale Lyaudet-Sarron—who demonstrate you can be successful and make an impact without emulating traditional male approaches.
Twenty years from now she would love to see quantum computers become as common as today’s supercomputers and for them to be a force for good in areas like health and the environment.
